About Patricia Ferguson

Patricia Ferguson the Scottish Labour's Candidate to represent Glasgow West at the next Westminster General Election.

I live in the Glasgow West Constituency and am a lifelong Trade Unionist.

As a Member of the Scottish Parliament from its inception in 1999 until 2016, I served as Deputy Presiding Officer of the Parliament and as Minister for Parliamentary Business and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport.

After leaving the Parliament, I worked at a large Scottish International Development Charity, building on my long-standing interests of social justice, housing and international development. As a cancer survivor, I know just how important our NHS and social care services are, and in particular, those available to cancer sufferers.

I am deeply concerned about the changes the Conservative Government has made to the social security system and have spoken to far too many people in the local area who have been badly affected by these changes. I support measures to redress this situation and to ensure that everyone in the country are able to achieve their potential and to live with dignity.

Promoted by Paul Cruikshank on behalf of Patricia Ferguson, both at 290 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4RE.
